Mr. Ur Rehman is a Managing Director and Head of Systematic Credit Research in the Ares Credit Group, where he focuses on systematic credit quantitative risk and research. Additionally, Mr. Ur Rehman serves on the Ares Systematic Credit Investment Committee. Prior to joining Ares in 2026, Mr. Ur Rehman was the Head of Credit Research at BlueCove, a systematic fixed income asset management firm. Previously, Mr. Ur Rehman was a Managing Director and Research Lead on the Equity and Capital Structure Team within Systematic Fixed Income at BlackRock. In addition, he was on the Quantitative Equity Proprietary Trading Team at Lehman Brothers. He holds an M.Phil. from the University of Cambridge in Management Studies (Finance) and a Ph.D. from INSEAD in Finance.
